OPINIONS COUNT
I have been attending the LLGMA and the TGA Travel Goods Shows for as long as I can remember. It has become one of the top two MUST-attend shows for our company. The insight and exposure to new goods that the TGA Show provides cannot be measured. With all honesty, missing a TGA Show would leave a large void in the products and knowledge that we provide our clients. The atmosphere and layout of the show is also critical to a successful buying trip.
We had our best show ever, with more visitors to the booth, more orders at the show and a greater international presence than ever before.
The Travel Goods Show is the one time of the year when I get to see all of the vendors and the new season’s product all in one place. It gives me an opportunity to discuss where the industry is going and strategies for the year ahead. I am kept up-to-date with the fashion aspects of our industry, which is critical. It’s a concentrated three days which pretty much defines my buying for the year. I also use the opportunity to get my store managers together so we can discuss and see the new products. The Show also allows me to take advantage of specials offered by a lot of the vendors. The Travel Goods Show is an absolute necessity for me!
Every day we get calls and interest from people I met at The Show, and from contacts of theirs, not to mention the publicity from USA Today. Our booth was very busy and there is great interest from some very big international companies. We were quite proactive at The Show and didn't let a 10 x 10 booth keep us from approaching the big guys.
For us, the annual Travel Goods Show is a must; it is the most complete and the only show in this industry where you can see both your legacy vendors and all of the up-and-coming or new vendors in one place. We love meeting with all of the knowledgeable resources so we can keep up with the latest developments in the industry. Since 1978, we (as professionals in the industry) have gone to 33 out of 34 annual shows (only one year we were not able to attend). Angel Myers It was a GREAT show for Hartmann. It was one of the most successful shows Hartmann has had in years. Everyone LOVED the Heritage Collection (handmade in America) and PC4 Collection (new hardcase line). We came back from The Show very excited and pumped! Leslee Richards The annual Travel Goods Show is the best place to be to find out what's new or upcoming in the travel industry. I see friends, get deals, and stay up-to-date on what my customers will be looking for.
As a kids' travel brand, we always find the best sales and contacts come from The Travel Goods Show, when compared to the gift sector shows. This year we are concentrating much of our sales development budget on The Travel Goods Show and Travel Goods Showcase magazine — because it WORKS!
Exhibiting at The Travel Goods Show is one of the main reasons behind our double-digit sales growth over the last two years. The Travel Goods Show is our primary vehicle to showcase new products, test new innovative ideas and establish stronger relationships with our retail partners.
The Travel Goods Show was valuable for Royce Leather. The Show provided the opportunity to meet with many of our e-commerce customers as well as strengthen many longtime relationships. Royce embraced the opportunity to connect with Canadian retailers, and developed some new business. Our experience at The Travel Goods Show this year reaffirms why it is the mecca for the travel goods industry. Thank you again.
Moving up to a bigger booth for The 2013 Show — yay! Nancy Bass We had a last-minute opportunity to participate in The Travel Goods Show, and we jumped right on it. Since we're still getting our feet on the ground in terms of building our brand and reputation as the best bags for your back, The Travel Goods Show was a great way to introduce ourselves to the industry. Katie DeGrazia LODIS loves the opportunity to see all of our customers, to reconnect after the whirlwind of holidays, and introduce our latest and greatest in business accessories. Myrna Brooks Thank you for a phenomenal experience at my first Travel Goods Show. I enjoyed The Show, the contacts made, and the business opportunities.
