OPINIONS COUNT I have been attending the LLGMA and the TGA Travel Goods Shows for as long as I can remember. It has become one of the top two MUST attend shows for our company. The insight and exposure to new goods that the TGA Show provides cannot be measured. With all honesty, missing a TGA Show would leave a large void in the products and knowledge that we provide our clients. The atmosphere and layout of the show is also critical to a successful buying trip. Again, with all of this combined, I am again looking forward to the upcoming Travel Goods Show in March 2012. Guy Paquette The Travel Goods Show is the one time of the year where I get to see all of the vendors and the new season’s product all in one place. It gives me an opportunity to discuss where the industry is going and what their and my strategies will be for the year ahead. I am kept up-to-date with the fashion aspects of our industry, which is critical. It’s a concentrated three days which pretty much defines my buying for the year. I also use the opportunity to get my store managers together so we can discuss and see the new products. The show also allows me to take advantage of show specials offered by a lot of the vendors. The TGA show is an absolute necessity for me! Ray Krut For us, to go to the annual Travel Goods Show is a must; it is the most complete and the only show in this industry, where you can see both your legacy vendors and all of the up-and-coming or new vendors in one place. We love meeting with all of the knowledgeable resources, so we can keep up with the latest developments in the industry. Since 1978 we (as professionals in the industry) have gone to 33 out of 34 annual shows (only one year we were not able to attend). Willy N. van Dooijeweert The annual Travel Goods Show is the best place to be to find out what's new or upcoming in the travel industry. I see friends, get deals, and stay up-to-date on what my customers will be looking for. Leslee Richards We launched our Travel Buddies Range at The 2011 Travel Goods Show with an overwhelming response. As a kids’ travel brand we always find the best sales and contacts come from The Travel Goods Show, when compared to the gift sector shows. This year we are concentrating much of our sales development budget on The Travel Goods Show and Travel Goods Showcase Magazine — because it WORKS! Rachel Stephens Exhibiting at The Travel Goods Show is one of the main reasons behind our double-digit sales growth over the last two years. The Travel Goods Show is our primary vehicle to showcase new products, test new innovative ideas and establish stronger relationships with our retail partners. Scott Applebee Royce Leather continues to showcase its line of leather gifts and luggage at The Travel Goods Show every year as there is no better industry event that draws such a large audience of highly-esteemed industry members. The Travel Goods Show continues to generate successful leads for us and it's an outstanding venue for highlighting the most innovative additions to the Royce Collection. When people know you are displaying at the Travel Goods Show and are associated with the Travel Goods Association, it commands a lot of respect. Billy Bauer It is so good to be back in Vegas for this show. LODIS loves the opportunity to see all of our customers, to reconnect after the whirlwind of holidays and introduce our latest and greatest in business accessories. Katie DeGrazia
