California proposes changes to Proposition 65 warning labels
California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment will hold a public, pre-regulatory workshop on July 30 to address potential changes to Proposition 65 (Prop 65) warning labels. The proposed label changes would mean more informative, detailed warnings, including the names of carcinogens of concern, possible health effects, and how to avoid or reduce harmful exposure. However, the proposal could also impose significant new burdens on manufacturers. TGA will submit comments on this regulatory concept, and encourages its members to do the same. For more information on Prop 65, please go to the Prop 65 page on the TGA website or contact TGA's Nate Herman at 703-797-9062.
