Business Class: The Latest Computer and Business Cases
Princeton, New Jersey — “Business Class: Image-Building with the Latest Briefbags and Computer Cases,” is the focus of this fall’s edition of Travel Goods Showcase magazine. “Backpacks, messenger bags and other casually styled cases have taken over the workplace,” explains Michele Marini Pittenger, president of the Travel Goods Association. “If you look at how much we carry today — computers, Blackberries, iPhones, cell phones, etc. — the paperless office has actually increased what we haul to work.”
New trends for business cases reflect the consumer’s desire to make a personal statement. Although function is still foremost, thanks to modern materials and sleek new designs today’s business cases are seriously fashion-forward with multiple options available. The September/October issue of Travel Goods Showcase highlights dozens of the latest in business cases for men and women of all ages.
Other featured articles in this issue:
- “Going Green” takes a look at how companies in the travel goods industry are beginning to adapt greener business models through the use of recycled materials in their products and how they run the workplace;
- “The State of Retail and the Travel Goods Industry” reviews the short-term outlook for retailers, the trends in travel goods, and how online and in-store sales are two sides of the same coin;
- “Interchange Fees: A Hidden Tax on You and Your Customers” describes the “biggest fees you’ve never heard of” and how unfair credit card practices have become a major public policy concern in Congress.
