Ricky Schlesinger joins UTC (China) Company Ltd.

Ricky Schlesinger, co-founder of Eagle Creek Travel Gear, ex-TGA Chair and current TGA Board member, has been named Vice President of Global Business Development of UTC (China) Company Ltd. Headquartered in the Shanghai area, UTC is a fast-growing retail chain with 140 locations and the leading multi-branded retailer of travel goods in China. Additionally, they have an e-commerce website (utcbag.com) and a wholesale distribution division selling throughout China. UTC currently has exclusive licensing agreements in China for Swiss Army Wenger, Eagle Creek, Brics, TravelPro, and several other U.S. and European brands.

Ricky will be responsible for strategic planning and marketing, brand development, and licensing management (delete;) working from his office in Leucadia, Calif. "It is fun and exciting working in the China market with the folks from UTC. It is family-owned, full of entrepreneurial spirit, similar to the way we grew Eagle Creek years ago."
