Solitude Designs, LLC designed, developed and markets its own line of noise-canceling headphones. The Pineville, NC-based company's offerings include the popular Solitude and Plane Quiet line of noise-canceling headphones, with their latest product being the Solitude Acoustic Isolation System (AIS) in-ear unit. Solitude Designs, LLC is also the parent company of ProTravelGear.com, which it describes as one of the largest travel products e-tailers today; as well as ProFitnessGear, a nutritional and supplement e-tailer. Outside the Box, Inc. also does OEM work for a number of companies, having introduced noise-canceling technology to a number of different applications. In April 2005 Outside the Box, Inc. was selected by John Deere, Inc. to provide John Deere-branded noise-canceling headphones targeting the John Deere equipment user.
