Sherpa’s Pet Trading Company was born in 1989 when Gayle Martz could not find a pet carrier to carry her Lhasa Apso while traveling on airplanes. After successfully creating a soft-sided version, she lobbied the airlines and eventually convinced them that bringing small pets on board rather than placing them in the cargo hold is safe and comfortable for both pets and their owners. “Today more people travel with their pets than ever before, not just on airplanes, but in cars, RVs, buses, or when they’re just tooling around town,” says Martz. “It’s the safest way to carry your pet.”

Sherpa pet carriers are now sold all over the United States, Canada, and Europe and are designed for comfort, safety and style.
